Captain Chris Kirby

The owner of Destin Inshore Charters is Captain Chris Kirby. He was born and raised here on the Emerald Coast and has been fishing for 25 years. He has done everything from inshore bay fishing to offshore blue marlin tournaments, along with commercial snapper and tuna fishing. He runs our 57ft offshore boat called the Backlash.

The Backlash is a 57ft Gillman Sportfisher that was built right here in Panama City Beach, Florida. She is equipped with the best technology and all the amenities of home. This includes two restrooms, A/C cabin, seating and dining area, fridge, stove top, microwave, master bedroom, two state rooms including 6 bunkbeds, and 2 flat screen TVs. Captain Shelby Kirby

Don’t let her size fool you! Coming in at five feet tall, Captain Chris’ wife, Shelby, is a firecracker and is the marketing manager for Destin Inshore Charters and Destin Offshore Charters. She grew up on the Emerald Coast and made fishing her career over 8 years ago. Shelby is there 24/7 to answer any questions your may have and she will handle your fishing trip reservation from start to finish.

The Adios and Amigo are sister ships! They both are 22ft Cape Horns built a little west of Destin. They are equipped with new Yamaha 200 four stroke motors and cobia towers for sight fishing. There is seating in the front and back of both boats with a minimal amount of shade. There is also a dry hatch under the front seat to keep all your belongings safe. These are the widest most comfortable riding center-console boats on the market! We ensure they will get you to the fishing spot quickly and comfortably.
